NFL quarterback rankings, Week 8: Carson Wentz shines
John Hadl Division
12. Deshaun Watson (Prev: 12)
Watson is having one hell of a rookie season. The former Clemson star already has 15 touchdown passes and has the Texans playing like a contender. The only questions are whether he can be more accurate, with the current stat line showing 61 percent.
11. Kirk Cousins (Prev: 11)
Cousins is operating behind a patchwork offensive line and without a single reliable receiver. The soon-to-be free agent has thrown for 1,637 yards with 12 touchdowns and only three picks. He’s going to be paid obscenely this upcoming offseason.
10. Matt Ryan (Prev: 6)
Ryan is starting to slide down the rankings, and for good reason. He is the reigning MVP, but Ryan has been middling this year, throwing for only 1,590 yards with seven touchdowns. At some point, Ryan has to be better or the Falcons miss the postseason.
9. Matthew Stafford (Prev: 8)
Stafford has ben excellent this year, even with the Lions dealing with injuries across the offense. The stats reflect an average year (only 6.35 YPA and 60.4 completion percentage), but Stafford hs made big plays at big moments, keeping Detroit in the playoff picture.
