Arden Key

Edge, LSU

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were supposed to be one of the better teams in the NFC this season, as many experts had them getting to the playoffs. Quarterback Jameis Winston has proven to be one of the better young quarterbacks in the league, and the team went out and brought in DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard to supplement Mike Evans in the passing game. However, they have shown to be too easy to score on this season, and that is never going to get it done in the pass-happy NFC South.

In order to shore up some of their issues on the defensive side of the ball, the Bucs should look to bring in the best pass rusher in this draft class. Arden Key from LSU is a beast of a defensive end, and he is going to have an instant impact at the next level. Key gets the edge better than anybody else in this draft, and with the Bucs playing in a division loaded with good quarterbacks, getting to the QB is priority No. 1 on defense.

It is still early in the season, and the NFC South looks to be wide open once again in 2017. The division has produced the NFC champion in each of the last two seasons, and there is no reason why the Bucs cannot go on a run. However, if they do find themselves picking this early in round one next April, grabbing a player like Key at No. 6 could wind up being the steal of the draft ten years from now.
