Calvin Ridley

Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Baltimore Ravens struggled this past weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, as they got nothing going on offense. In fact, had it not been for a garbage time touchdown in the fourth quarter, they would have only scored via the field goal against the Vikings. This team needs more playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, especially at wide receiver, where they are getting very little production from their veterans.

This past offseason, the Ravens went out and grabbed Jeremy Maclin, who was suddenly and surprisingly cut by the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the past two games, Maclin has been out because of an injury, and the offense has certainly struggled. This organization cannot afford to be weak throwing the ball, especially with Joe Flacco still having some prime years left in his NFL career.

With their first pick next April, the Ravens should look to bring in a wide receiver, and Calvin Ridley from Alabama is a good one. Ridley does not pile up numbers due to the offense he plays it, but he has the potential to be an explosive NFL player, much like Amari Cooper from the Oakland Raiders. There is no denying he is a first-round talent, and after another national title run, he will likely find himself being selected pretty early in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
