Dabo Swinney has taken the Clemson Tigers and turned the team into what is nearly now considered to be a blue blood program. Clemson has gone to back-to-back National Championships under Swinney and took home last year’s College Football Playoff National Championship after defeating his alma mater, Alabama.

The way Swinney does things with Clemson constantly keeps attention on him. He’s helped bring a top-notch facility to the campus and brought more excitement than there has been in the history of the program. All the good things that Swinney is doing here also keeps some of the best recruits interested in playing for him.

Contending for the National Championship for a head coach that is not named Nick Saban or Urban Meyer is a pretty cool thing to do. It almost seems guaranteed now that Clemson will come out of the ACC each season. The Tigers have only missed out on the Playoff one time in its three years of existence. Florida State was the only other team from the ACC to make it over Clemson.

Other programs have tried to pry Swinney away from Clemson, but he is committed to staying with this program. It seems like Alabama would be the only possibility of luring Swinney away since that’s where he played his college ball at.
