16. Miami Dolphins: Trade Jarvis Landry

As great as Jarvis Landry has been for the Miami Dolphins over the past three seasons it’s time for the team to move him. Fans might think this is a crazy move given Landry’s recent play and his talent but it’s a move the Dolphins should at least consider. He’s set to hit free agency next year and it’s going to take a whole lot to keep him.

Trade Landry while his value is high, that’s what the Dolphins should be thinking right now. They have the second-least amount of cap space of any team right now. While some of that will be freed up over the offseason, it’s going to take a whole lot to keep Landry around. In the end, there’s going to be another team that can offer more money at a better price.

The market for a wide receiver is high right now. We’ve seen all the trade attention Martavis Bryant has garnered over the past couple weeks. Contending teams are looking for help at wide receiver and Landry is one of the highly regarded trade options available right now. The Dolphins obviously lose a great talent, but they’ve struggled in the pass game even with Landry on the field. DeVante Parker and Kenny Stills are talented enough to suffice for the loss of Landry and both could thrive in a more increased role in the offense.

Whether it’s a player swap or draft picks, the Dolphins might as well explore their options. Teams are going to be calling and if the price is right, they should strike and make a move.
