15. Minnesota Vikings: Trade for T.J. Yeldon

With Aaron Rodgers out, the Vikings control their own destiny in the NFC North. They’ve been dealt some blows with injuries to Sam Bradford and more notably Dalvin Cook, but have been able to stay afloat. Even with Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon in the backfield, the Vikings could always use more depth. Adding another piece at running back like T.J. Yeldon would help.

Obviously, the Vikings could go big for a Carlos Hyde type of trade but there’s no need to at this point. The Vikings need quality depth at running back rather than a bonified starter. That’s where Yeldon comes in. He’s been buried on the depth chart with Leonard Fournette taking over as the starter and even with a breakout game last week, things will be back to the same once Fournette returns from injury. If anything Yeldon’s performance was an audition for a potential trade before the deadline.

The Vikings could have a three-headed monster at running back with Murray, McKinnon and Yeldon. All three have different styles out of the backfield and could compliment each other well. With how the quarterback position has panned out for this team, it’s not something they can rely on once they play the better teams in the NFC. The ground game will be the got- offensive production as the defense takes care of the rest.

This would be a sneaky trade that I really like for the Vikings. Yeldon is only 24 and would be a great asset to a contending team this season.
