NFL trade deadline: One move every team should make

5. Seattle Seahawks: Trade for Jeremy Hill
The Seahawks run game hasn’t been the same since the departure of Marshawn Lynch. They’ve tried to suffice with Eddie Lacy and Thomas Rawls but as long as Chris Carson is out, this run game is average at best. They rank 18th in the league averaging just over 108 yards per game and Russell Wilson needs a more balanced offense to work with. This is where Bengals running back Jeremy Hill comes in.
The fourth-year back was impressive in his first three seasons but has cooled off in 2017. He’s rushed for 105 and no touchdowns through seven games, which isn’t what any of us expected coming into this season. It’s a crowded backfield with Giovanni Bernard and rookie Joe Mixon, which leaves Hill as the third option in Bill Lazor’s offense.
If traded, Hill could come into Seattle and start right away. He’s more talented than Lacy and Rawls combined and adds a dual threat with his ability to be a receiver out of the backfield. With a consistent run game, a lot of the offensive load is taken off of Russell Wilson and he doesn’t have to feel like he has to make every play by himself.
The Seahawks are stacked on defense and just recently signed veteran pass rusher Dwight Freeney. It’s time to add some help on the other side of the ball and Hill would be a perfect trade candidate to consider.
