30. Baltimore Ravens: Trade Terrance West

The Baltimore Ravens are a mess this season, but the run game has been a pleasant surprise. They rank 12th in the league averaging over 120 yards per game and it’s been done with the unlikely backs of Alex Collins and Javorius Allen.

At this point in the season, injuries and other inconsistencies have pretty much derailed the Ravens season, which gives them even more of an incentive to make a move before the trade deadline. If Ozzie Newsome is making calls it needs to be about trading away players, specifically running back Terrance West.

The Ravens signed Terrance West late in the 2015 season and the Maryland native has been a decent running back for the team. He rushed for 774 yards in a shared role last year but has been kept out by a calf injury part of this season. With free agency impending next season, it’s time for the Ravens to get something for West before he walks out the door.

I’m not expecting a huge market for West because he’s an average running back at best. He’s got a 3.9 YPC average but is a hit or miss almost every game. The Ravens have young talent at running back to work with and the timing would make sense for a trade. With all needs on offense for this team, a late-round draft pick would be a fair deal.
