NFL trade deadline: One move every team should make

29. Buffalo Bills: Trade for Larry Fitzgerald
Even after the 100 receivers the Buffalo Bills brought in this offseason they still have one of the worst passing attacks in the league. With a talented quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, this offense should be a lot better than they are playing.
To the Cardinals, trading away Fitzgerald is like trading away one of their most prized possessions. Fitzgerald has spent all of his 13+ seasons with the Cardinals since coming into the league in 2004. He’s been an incredible wide receiver and a class act for the organization, but every good story has to come to an end. The Cardinals aren’t going to compete for the playoffs this season and Fitzgerald’s time in the league is limited.
I’m not saying acquiring Fitzgerald suddenly makes the Bills a Super Bowl contender, but they’re a much-improved team. Fitzgerald is an extremely reliable target and still dangerous threat as a receiver even at the age of 34. He’s coming off two straight 1,000 yard seasons and is on pace to reach that mark again this year.
Trading for Fitzgerald would be a rent for the Bills but a guy they could keep around for a year or two if things go well. The Bills are a couple of small pieces away from being a legitimate contender and Fitzgerald gives them that for a short window.
