NFL trade deadline: One move every team should make

27. Chicago Bears: Trade for Martavis Bryant
Who can Mitchell Trubisky throw the ball to? It seems like no one on the Chicago Bears offense. Their top three receivers in Cameron Meredith, Kevin White and Markus Wheaton are all currently out with injury. The Bears are winners of two straight somehow and that certainly hasn’t been because of the play of the receivers.
Let’s be honest, the Bears aren’t going to be anywhere near close to contenders, but that doesn’t mean they can’t trade like one. At this point in the season, why not go after a trade target like Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant?
Bryant has made it pretty apparent he’s unhappy with his situation in Pittsburgh. We know he wants out and the Steelers are going to be fielding trade calls. Bringing Bryant to the Windy City would be a solid move for the Bears. He’d pair up with his former teammate in Wheaton and would immediately become the No. 1 receiver in the offense. That’s exactly what Bryant seems to be looking for right now. We know he’s got the talent, but it’s all about getting the opportunities and that’s what the Bears provide.
Even if the Bears don’t keep Bryant past the 2018 season, he’ll pair nicely with the rest of the young receivers returning back from injury next season.
