26. Cincinnati Bengals: Trade for Seantrel Henderson

We expected the Bengals to struggle on the offensive line this season. There was going to be a significant dropoff after losing left tackle Andrew Whitworth and guard Kevin Zeitler in free agency. And as much as we’ve seen the Bengals offense turnaround with new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, the line is still a question mark.

They may not be in the running for a big name tackle, but there are some serviceable backups who could thrive in a bigger role. One of those is Seantrel Henderson. The Bills are being mentioned in all of the trade talks heading up to the deadline. Marcell Dareus and Cordy Glenn are the two big names, but Henderson is also a name that could be moved.

The 2014 seventh-round pick started all 16 games as a rookie but struggled with Crohn’s disease and suspensions the past couple seasons. He served a combined 10 game suspension stemming from the 2016 season into this year but is back with the team. In the meantime, he’s pretty much fallen out of favor and isn’t in the offensive plans.

Henderson is young and would come cheap. He only has a base salary of $487,058 and will be a undrafted free agent next season. The Bengals can’t continue past this season with Cedric Ogbuehi and he’s been mediocre at best. It’d be an under-the-radar signing that could prove to pay dividends for the Bengals.
