25. Cleveland Browns: Trade for Cordy Glenn

The Browns are about as close to a dumpster fire that you can get. They’re on their way to a 0-16 season and can’t even decide who to play at quarterback. This team is full on inconsistencies and they lost their only consistent player, Joe Thomas, to a season-ending triceps injury last week. There’s no guarantee Thomas returns next season, which means the Browns should start looking elsewhere. Bills left tackle Cordy Glenn provides a potential trade option come the deadline.

A good offensive lineman is hard enough to find, especially a left tackle. Glenn has all the capabilities of being a franchise left tackle but recent injury problems have raised some concerns. Now heading into the deadline, rumors have been heating up of a potential trade.

The Browns are terrible, there’s no question about it, but their offensive line has been a surprising strength. They acquired JC Tretter and Kevin Zeitler this offseason and both are the foundation for this line heading forward.

Rookie DeShone Kizer will continue to develop, but can’t do that if he’s getting punished in the pocket. Adding Glenn doesn’t immediately make the Browns contenders but gives the offensive line three high-quality starters. The nucleus of an offense runs through the offensive line and that’s where the Browns need to continue to build.
