24. Dallas Cowboys: Trade for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

The Cowboys have been a tough team to gauge this season. They’re 3-3 and have been all over the place. This certainly isn’t the 13-3 dominant team we saw last season, but as long as Ezekiel Elliott continues to play, the Cowboys are going to be in contention. If a move is being made before the trade deadline, the team would be smart to add starting depth in the secondary. A prime candidate would be fellow divisional rival Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

DRC has had an impressive recent stint with the Giants, but his time may be up. After the team’s horrid start to the season, Rodgers-Cromartie made headlines two weeks ago after he came into the team facility for practice and walked out. Head coach Ben McAdoo suspended Rodgers-Cromartie for one game and his playing time has been cut short because of it. There seems to be frustration boiling on both sides and a move is imminent.

The Cowboys secondary has faired decently this season but still aren’t as good without Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. They’ve added young talent Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie, but cornerback is a position you can never have too much depth in. Adding in Rodgers-Cromartie immediately bolsters the Cowboys secondary and he can replace either Lewis or Anthony Brown in one of the starting spots.

It’s rare we see teams trade within the division, but at this point, the Giants may be looking to move DRC wherever they can find a suitor.
