Mason Rudolph

Quarterback, Oklahoma State

The Arizona Cardinals look old this season, and the reason for that is they are old. Quarterback Carson Palmer is going to try to come back from a broken arm, but it is likely this is going to be his final season in the NFL. The Cardinals also may lost star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald to retirement after the season, leaving a gaping hole on the offensive side of the ball in two very important positions.

Last year, we figured they would select a quarterback in the first round, as the future of Palmer was still up in the air. In April, they should look to finally bring in their new starting quarterback, and Mason Rudolph from Oklahoma State would be a perfect fit. Head coach Bruce Arians is great with quarterbacks, and Rudolph has every intangible you look for in a starter.

Rudolph is not only a leader on the field, but also off of it, and he commands the respect of his teammates. If you are going to be someone who comes in and plays right away, especially at quarterback, you need that quality. This team has played without arguably the best running back in the NFC for the bulk of the season, and once he comes back, the Cardinals may actually make a run at a Wildcard spot, which would mean drafting towards the middle of the first round.
