Holton Hill

Defensive Back, Texas

The Green Bay Packers lost Aaron Rodgers for the season two weeks ago, and with that, they lost their grip on their supremacy in the NFC North. The team is still talented enough to win the division, as nobody is running away with it, but there is a likelihood that they do not make the playoffs. If they do not, look for them to be picking close to the No. 20 spot, and getting an elite cornerback to add to their defensive backfield.

We have been doing these mocks all season long, and this week, we add a new name to our first round. Holton Hill from Texas is a very good cornerback, and I got to see a lot of him over the last couple of weeks. He has tremendous speed, comes up and lays the wood, and has the kind of tenacity you look for in a defensive back coming out of college.

The Packers were exploited during the NFC Championship Game last year, so there is no guarantee they would have been in the Super Bowl even if Rodgers was healthy. They have to get better against the pass, especially against some of the elite passers this league has to offer. Hill would enable them to get better, and with youth in their secondary, a once weak unit could wind up being a strength for the Packers in the 2018 NFL season.
