Sam Hubbard

Edge, Ohio State

The Miami Dolphins are currently in the playoffs, but with how they have been playing lately, that will not be the case for long. The Dolphins were blasted by the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football, and backup quarterback Matt Moore showed why he is not a starter in the league. To make matters worse, the team then went out and traded running back Jay Ajayi, signaling the end of them trying to make a run this season.

With their first round pick next April, the Dolphins should look to inject some youth in the defensive front. One player who should hear his name called in the first round is Sam Hubbard, who leads one of the better defenses in the country at Ohio State. Hubbard would give the Dolphins another solid pass rusher, which you need to compete in a very tough AFC East division.

Miami has a bunch of talent on this roster, and it as pretty surprising that they would let go of such an asset while still in the playoff hunt. Head coach Adam Gase had this team moving in the right direction last season, but it appears they have hit the skids in 2017. No word on whether or not Ryan Tannehill is still the quarterback moving forward, and if they do decide his run as the starter is over, this pick could certainly be used on an arm next spring.
