Derrius Guice

Running Back, LSU

The Seattle Seahawks are going for it all, and this week, they made a trade to improve one of the biggest weaknesses on their roster. The Seahawks swung a deal with the Houston Texans for left tackle Duane Brown, making their offensive line instantly better in the process. Quarterback Russell Wilson is playing out of his mind right now, and bringing in a player like Brown suddenly makes them a Super Bowl contender.

The defense for Seattle is still loaded, as the Legion of Boom is back to terrorizing offenses now that they have their weapons healthy. With the team’s first pick in round one next April, they should fill one of their remaining holes by drafting a running back. Derrius Guice from LSU is a fantastic running back prospect, and should hear his name called in the first round when it comes time for the draft next spring.

Seattle has a nice mix of offensive weapons in the passing game with Jimmy Graham and Doug Baldwin, but the running back position has been a question mark since Marshawn Lynch left. Guice would give Wilson a weapon that he has not had since Beast Mode left town, making this offense even more dangerous. The Seahawks should be a contender in the NFC for many years, and Guice has the talent to be a Rookie of the Year candidate next season in the Northwest.
