2018 NFL Mock Draft: Jets get their quarterback in the first round
By Brad Weiss
The Buffalo Bills continue to roll along, and as it stands now, they would be a Wildcard team in the AFC if the season ended tomorrow. This past week, they traded away one of their top defensive players, sending Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars. That move frees up a spot up front on defense, and luckily for the Bills, this draft class is loaded with talented players who fit that bill.
One such player is Maurice Hurst from Michigan, who is likely to be a first round selection next April. Hurst has been a leader on a down Wolverines squad this season, but that has done nothing to jeopardize his spot in the 2017 NFL Draft. He is going to be one of the top defensive tackles selected, and with Dareus gone, he could start right away in Buffalo.
First year head coach Sean McDermott has this Bills team playing good football, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Tyrod Taylor is a fine quarterback, and LeSean McCoy continues to prove that he is one of the better running backs in the NFL. The Bills do need help at wide receiver, but Zay Jones should be able to contribute soon, and Jordan Matthews has played well up to this point in the season, making this offense pretty strong.
