A Las Vegas high roller best $8 million dollars on the Dodgers in Game 6.

A recently wealthy person is betting nearly his life that the Los Angeles Dodgers will tie up the series in Game 6 of the 2017 World Series.

There is a reason why this young man put up a ton on the Dodgers tonight. You see, in each of the first five games of one of the best World Series in recent memory, he has correctly bet on the winner, letting his winnings ride on the next game each time.

Those correct bets have garnered him his $8 million, so why not pour all of that money into the Dodgers? L.A. is nearly unbeatable at home, and the Houston Astros, who can come away with their first-ever championship tonight, have yet to transfer their American League-leading offense away from Minute Maid Park — with the notable exception of Game 2.

You can’t lose on this bet tonight, right? Well, for his sake, lets hope not.

So what do we know about this risky sports gambler anyway? Well, according to Daniel Rapaport of Sports Illustrated, the man (who hasn’t been identified) is under 30 years old and is of Middle European descent. We also know that he’s one heck of a predictor, going 5-0 so far in this World Series.

The Vegas high roller isn’t the only sports fan to make a crazy bet on the World Series. Back in 2011, a St. Louis Cardinals fan tuned a $250 bet into a $375,000 payday, betting that his Cardinals would not only reach the World Series but win it.

Never mind that the Cardinals were a 500-1 odd favorite to reach the World Series, let alone odds of 999-1 to actually win it, but this fan (who still hasn’t been identified to this day) stood by his team and his loyalty paid off handsomely.

As for this guy, he’s hoping that the Dodgers can have the energy to send this series to a Game 7. If not, he may be the most depressed man in America.
