12. Jared Goff (Prev: 13)

Goff is having a splendid second season. After looking like a complete bust as a rookie, the youngster has blossomed with 2,030 yards on 8.32 yards per attempt, second only to Alex Smith.

11. Matt Ryan (Prev: 11)

Ryan is having a decent year. He’s thrown 11 touchdowns with seven interceptions, but is averaging 7.99 yards per attempt. No, he hasn’t been the MVP-caliber player from a year ago, but he’s not the reason the Falcons stink.

10. Kirk Cousins (Prev: 12)

Cousins continues to make a case for being the highest-paid player in NFL history next spring. Coming back in the final minute in Seattle against the Legion of Boom? Not bad.

9. Matthew Stafford (Prev: 10)

Stafford had the gift of playing the Packers secondary this week, and he turned it into a 30-point performance and a blowout win. Nice job to keep Detroit’s playoff hopes alive for another week.
