NFL Draft 2018: Updated ranking of the top 32 draft prospects entering Week 11
The Georgia Bulldogs finally increased Nick Chubb’s workload this week. As mentioned all season, they’ve been consistently keeping him around that 15 – 17 carries per game mark each week thus far.
Now, as the season progresses it makes sense that they start to turn him loose a little bit. With the Bulldogs ranked as the top team in the country, the competition is only going to get that much tougher as they get closer to the SEC title game.
They have clinched their spot in the conference championship game and the eventual clash with the Alabama Crimson Tide is going to say a lot about where this team is at this year. They’ve accomplished so much and a lot of it is because of Chubb.
He has an argument to make that he might very well be the best running back in the nation with Saquon Barkley not quite having the same performances as earlier in the year. He ran the ball for 102 yards on 20 carries against South Carolina.
Calvin Ridley continues to inch closer to Amari Cooper’s record for most receptions in program history. When he gets there, it’s going to be one of the greatest accomplishments that college football has ever seen.
For anyone to top any record in place by the Alabama Crimson Tide is a special feat. The man is a possession machine with great hands and great feet. He can shake a defender when he wants to and he can make the incredible catch.
Against LSU, he had only three reception on the afternoon. However, he made the most of those receptions by turning it into 61 yards. Spacing the field and helping set up a dynamic running attack makes him a key component of their offense.
With the great pro receivers that have come from the program, Ridley’s going to carry plenty of hype as a top NFL Draft prospect. After all, he looks phenomenal on tape and his moves are outstanding.
