Kendall Joseph

LB, Clemson

The Clemson Tigers proved they are playoff worthy with perhaps their biggest win of the season this past week. Clemson went on the road and defeated N.C. State, in what turned out to be a really good football game.

With the victory, the Tigers maintained their No. 4 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings. This week, they have a rivalry game against Florida State. In year’s past this would have been a huge test but it should be one they should take care of with little to no problems this year.

However, they can’t go into the game with that mindset and their leaders won’t allow them to. Kendall Joseph is one of those that leads by example with his play each week and the linebacker will be key to a win on the road.

With eight tackles against N.C. State, Joseph was third on the day for his team. He wraps up, makes tackles and does it all over again. There’s a method to his madness and it will help him come draft time.

Arden Key

EDGE, LSU

Despite the losing effort, Arden Key continued to get things going this past week. Now, that he’s in football shape and in the full swing of things, he’s starting to have big performances that are going to help his draft stock.

He’s already one of the top EDGE defenders in this year’s class and it’s all a matter of pushing himself ahead of the competition. He finished with eight tackles, half of a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss on the road.

As he continues to pick his play up, he should finish the year strong. No longer are people questioning his slow start to the year because of health issues. Instead, he’s back in that positive light that he was last year.

Right now, he’s a top prospect heading into the draft that should find himself being taken early by virtue of his position. It pays to be a premium pass rushing talent and he is certainly one of the best at it.
