NFL Draft 2018: Updated ranking of the top 32 draft prospects entering Week 11
It wasn’t a good day for the Ohio State Buckeyes this past week. As mentioned early, Iowa took them to task and eliminated them from any shot at making the College Football Playoff later on this year.
It was however another solid day for Tyquan Lewis. The defensive lineman added another sack to his growing total on the season. He’s consistently winning each and every battle that he’s put in on a weekly basis.
He’s set for another award winning season and after last year, he’s one of those prospects that teams know what they’re getting. It’s hard to say anything new about him at this point other than he brings it consistently each week.
If the Buckeyes are going to finish the year out strong and not go out with a thud, it will be on the shoulders of a leader like Lewis. He brings that intensity and energy that the rest of a talented line follows.
After several great weeks in a row, Courtland Sutton had himself an average game this past week. No one goes a season with great performances week in and week out, there are always some average days sprinkled in.
The key for the great players is not making a habit of it and coming back stronger. Against UCF, SMU fell in a tough game that was close until the end. It was a huge conference battle for the two schools.
Perhaps if Sutton was able to do just a little bit more things could have turned out differently. He finished the afternoon with five catches for 46 yards. He didn’t find his way into the end zone as he had been in recent weeks.
His stock is still high because of his size and the fact that he can take over football games. It didn’t happen this past week, but he’s had plenty of great tape this year to show that he can be that guy when he is ultimately called upon.
