Bryce Love

RB, Stanford

After missing the game prior, Bryce Love was back on the field this past week for the Stanford Cardinal. It was a pivotal game for the Pac-12 North school as they sought to stay in contention for the division.

Instead, they lost a tough one the road against Washington State and will need a lot of help if they are going to find a way to win it now. While it won’t end up being the year they hoped for, they have a chance to finish strong.

Love has been one of their bright spots this season and he did have a touchdown in his return. He finished with 69 yards on 16 rushes. He did break off a 52-yard run that highlighted his speed when he gets going.

He has a huge test this week against the Washington Huskies. The Huskies have a great run defense and don’t give up any easy yards at all. If he can a big game here, it will say a lot for his draft stock.

Christian Kirk

WR, Texas A&M

This big board has lamented the Texas A&M passing game for weeks. They’ve seemingly struggled each and every week to pass the ball and get one of the best receivers in the nation involved with the offense.

That being said, they still lost this past week but managed to go after Christian Kirk. He tied for the lead in receptions and although he didn’t find the end zone, it was nice to see him finally get more touches on the field.

He finished the afternoon with eight receptions for 62 yards. After weeks of only four or five catches in a year that won’t jump off the page stats wise, it was nice to see an active effort to get the ball.

Fortunately for him, teams know he’s more than just a player that can stretch the field with his speed. He can also catch the ball and that makes him the ultimate weapon when also factoring in his return ability.
