The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon in Week 10. Here is a game preview, the betting odds and a score prediction.

It’s already Week 10 of the 2017 NFL season. The season is just flying by, isn’t it? One of the games going on in the AFC this weekend will be between the Los Angeles Chargers (3-5) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3). Kickoff from EverBank Field in Jacksonville will be at 1:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 12. Andrew Catalon and James Lofton will be in the booth to call the game for CBS.

Los Angeles enters play at 3-5 on the year and 2.5 games back of the Kansas City Chiefs (6-3) in the AFC West divisional race. The Chargers pretty much need a win here over the Jaguars to keep their playoff dreams alive. Falling to 3-6 on the year essentially knocks them out of it. Los Angeles has played better ball of late. Keep in mind that the Chargers started the year out 0-4, but have won three of their last four games.

Jacksonville would be a playoff team if the season ended today. The Jaguars would be a wild card team at 5-3, as the Tennessee Titans hold the head-to-head tiebreaker in AFC South play. This Jaguars defense is menacing and Jacksonville is getting good complementary football from its offense that has stopped turning the football over.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Jacksonville -3.5
Moneylines: Jacksonville -190, Los Angeles +175
Over/Under: 41

According to OddsShark, the Jaguars will be laying 3.5 points at home to the visiting Chargers. The associated moneylines for this game are Jacksonville -190 and Los Angeles +175. This game’s over/under comes in at a combined 41 points.

Even though Jacksonville’s defense will be the dominating part of this game, the Chargers do have Philip Rivers as their starting quarterback. He will sling the ball to the best of his ability in this game. So let’s take the over to be safe in this one.

Down three points inside of three minutes, Rivers will take the Chargers offense almost the length of the field to potentially win the game. When he least expects it, Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell will strip sack him from behind. Defensive lineman Dante Fowler Jr. will pick up the fumbled football and take it 75 yards to the house. By doing that Jacksonville covers the 3.5-point spread and moves to 6-3 on the season.

Pick: Jaguars 27, Chargers 17
