Georgetown Will Keep Eating Cupcakes

Patrick Ewing made his coaching debut this weekend against something called the Jacksonville Dolphins. Naturally, the Hoyas won the game in convincing fashion. This is something everyone needs to get used to, as Georgetown doesn’t exactly play a tough non-conference schedule.

If we are being honest, the school made a conscious decision to schedule the non-conference docket as such. It has loaded it up with the University of Broken Dreams and Club State Pool Cleaners of the world for a reason. Georgetown is hoping that, after what should be an awful overall first season for Ewing, the overall record the Hoyas have at the end will be purposely misleading.

Georgetown is the worst team in the Big East. Worse than even DePaul (audible gasp!). Everyone knows this, including the university. It is why there are so many random and bad teams on the schedule.

It is also why we should expect overreaction by people within the program whenever Georgetown dismantles one of these supposed Division I programs.

See the above tweets? Yeah, uh, about them. Fully expect Ewing, who is brand new to Twitter, to use the platform in a similar fashion as Donald Trump. To him, the semantics concerning the value of a win won’t matter. All that does is the win. And he, as well as all of Georgetown, will keep telling us about it.

That is until, you know, Big East Conference play begins. Then the Hoyas won’t have the chance to do anything other than taking their lumps.
