Donald Trump Is Apparently A Huge UCLA Fan

I am cheating here a bit, as this news actually broke on Monday, but whatever.

According to multiple reports, the President of the United States reached out to China to try to free the three UCLA players who were arrested for stealing some clothing at a mall in the communist country.

That’s a lot. I know. Let it wash over you like a cold shower after a night drinking far too many vodkas. Process it. Regret reading it. Then mull over doing it again.

Honest is the best policy, so let’s make a collective admission here. We all knew it was only a matter of time before Trump and LaVar Ball crossed paths, even if it was only indirectly.

Anyway, at least according to the reports, with the three players left in China to serve house arrest, Trump did manage to convince the country’s legal system to reduce its charges against the players.

For all of those people who want politics of your sports, eh, right? After all, especially if you are a Bruins fan, this has to be good news that the most powerful man in the free world is willing to go to bat for the least talented Ball child.

I kid. I kid.

For all we know, none of the Ball kids are actually talented.

Again, for the love of everything holy, I am kidding!
