Auburn Tigers

The discussion of two-loss teams making the College Football Playoff could soon be a real one. Right now, the Ohio State Buckeyes are going to need a lot of help but the Auburn Tigers are right there with a path in.

While the Tigers have two losses on the season, one was to Clemson and the other to LSU. Auburn’s path to the College Football Playoff is a tough one but a simple one at the same time, which is rare for a two-loss team.

They have to beat Alabama and then win the SEC. While some might argue the fact they have two losses, it would be nearly impossible to keep out a team that could end up beating the No. 1 team in the country twice.

It’s a rare feat to defeat the No. 1 team once in a year, but to do it twice is almost unheard of. It speaks to the resilience of this football prpgram.

Add in the fact that they play in the SEC and Auburn has a really strong case of making it in. They can’t lose again this year or they’ll officially be toast,  but for now they’re still alive and it’s all because they knocked off Georgia.
