As pointed out by the Sporting News, the Hawks have not just gotten worse on defense this year, but have the biggest drop off in defensive rating from this year to last from last year among all 30 NBA teams. At least John Collins looks like someone who could be good when the Hawks are ready to push for the playoffs again, even if he doesn’t project as the best player on a good team.
