NFL quarterback rankings, Week 11: Ben Roethlisberger’s last stand
Neil O’Donnell Division
21. Jay Cutler (Prev: 23)
Smokin’ Jay is somehow hitting on two-thirds of his throws with 12 touchdowns, even with the Dolphins playing horrendous offensive football. Enjoy Cutler for these final seven games before he finally rides into the sunset.
20. Tyrod Taylor (Prev: 16)
With Nathan Peterman playing well in a mop-up role on Sunday, some are calling for a change at quarterback in Buffalo. Hard to blame them, with Taylor throwing for 56 yards and an interception in a 47-10 rout against the Saints.
19. Eli Manning (Prev: 18)
Manning and the Giants are done. Beyond done. This offseason, New York has to explore moving on from its two-time Super Bowl champion, something that would save them $16 million next year. It’s over.
18. Andy Dalton (Prev: 17)
Dalton has 2,004 yards and 13 touchdowns against eight picks. In other words, he’s been decidedly average this season, in a year when the Bengals needed him to be much more. Does he get walking papers alongside Marvin Lewis in a few months?
17. Cam Newton (Prev: 21)
Newton does just enough to keep the Panthers winning, even if he’s not the main reason for it. At some point, criticism over interceptions and completion rate is fair, but give credit as well for winning games more often than not. On Monday, he was great, throwing for four touchdowns in a blowout win.
