Orlando Brown

Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the bigger disappointments in the NFL this season, as they have won only three of their first nine games. To make matters worse, it looks like star quarterback Jameis Winston is going to be out for a while, which means the team now turns to Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Bucs were able to win on Sunday with Fitz under center, but they were playing against the New York Jets, who are just as horrible on offense.

With their first round pick in 2018, the Bucs should make the investment in drafting an offensive tackle. Luckily for them, this draft class has some good ones, and one of those players is Orlando Brown from Oklahoma. Brown is a big reason why the Sooners are always so explosive on offense, as he has had the responsibility of protecting Baker Mayfield’s blindside.

Tampa Bay needs to start thinking long term, as many believed they were a playoff team this season. Winston cannot afford to be hit the way he has in recent weeks, and the injury to his shoulder has to serve as a warning to the organization. The Bucs should be back in the thick of things next season, but this year appears to be a loss as we head to Week 11.
