5 landing spots for Tyrod Taylor in 2018
1. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are 6-3 right now, spearheaded by one of the league’s best defenses and a running game that has minimized how much Blake Bortles has to throw the ball. But the third overall pick in the 2014 draft has still accounted for nine turnovers this season, and even though his fifth-year option for 2018 was picked up, the Jaguars can get rid of that commitment before the new league year starts.
Jaguars vice president Tom Coughlin would surely like to acquire a quarterback that takes care of the ball well, or at least better than Bortles has during his career. Taylor, if nothing else, has proven to be that kind of guy as part of a run-heavy offense in Buffalo. It’s easy to draw parallels to what the Jaguars are trying to accomplish now and the formula the Bills have tried to implement.

There was some buzz about the Jacksonville trading for Eli Manning and reuniting him with former Giants head coach Coughlin. That talk will probably ramp up again when the offseason starts, whether it’s realistic or not or anything fuels it from either side. But Taylor is definitely a better long-term solution than Manning, and he looks like a better fit for the Jaguars to boot.
