Wrestling fans saw the return of WarGames at NXT TakeOver in Houston on Saturday night. Who came out on top at the end of the night?

To top off an incredible night on Saturday at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, fans were treated to the return of the match that became the namesake for this TakeOver event.

After weeks of battling between the NXT Tag Team champions SAnitY, the Undisputed Era and the Authors of Pain, the feud finally came to its peak when two rings and a steel cage were brought out to settle the score. Suffice to say, the three teams put on an absolute show for the fans in Houston.

There was a ton of action in this nine-man match spread out across multiple rings, and plenty of big moments spread throughout the main event of the evening.

The team’s captains, Eric Young, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong (donning the Authors of Pain attire), all started the match for their respective teams. From that moment on, chaos ensued and a a magical match took place after tons of hype.

The first team out of the cages was the rest of the Undisputed Era, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, with the trio then going on the offensive on Strong and Young early and often.

Next out was The Authors of Pain, who came to save the day for Strong in the ring and instantly proved their dominance when they opened the door to the cage.

Last but certainly not least, the rest of SAnitY made their way into the fray, and brought some toys into the equation to help make things a little more interesting before locking the door behind them. After that, absolute anarchy occurred for the duration of WarGames.

We even saw Alexander Wolfe get busted open taking one of The Authors of Pain from the top turnbuckle through a table.

In the end, after all of the madness in the ring, Adam Cole picked up the victory for his team to give The Undisputed the victory in the return of WarGames.
