Tarik Cohen

RB, Bears

There’s no doubt that Cohen’s best game of the 2017 season will probably end up being his Week 1 explosion, where he went for 113 total yards and a touchdown.

But there’s still a chance that Cohen could give you some pep in your fantasy lineup at least once more this season. Betting on Week 11’s matchup with the Lions might not be a bad idea.

Last week, Cleveland’s Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson combined for 144 yards on the ground against Detroit, as well as seven catches for 29 yards. The Bears’ duo of Cohen and Jordan Howard bear a strong resemblance to Crowell and Johnson — a bruising between-the-tackles runner (Howard) and an exciting change-of-pace back (Cohen).

More specifically, Johnson — who most closely matches up to Johnson in style of play — had 10 carries for 54 yards and six catches for 34 yards last week. Cohen’s touches have been gradually going down as the season has gone on, but it seems like a player of his stature and play style could have a re-breakout against the Lions’ D. If you need to bet big and hope for a miracle, Cohen might be your guy this week. Just bear in mind (pun intended) that he’s a big time boom-or-bust play.
