TJ Yeldon

RB, Jaguars

Ownership %: ESPN: 6%; Yahoo!: 16% | Role: Bye week filler

I’m totally willing to eat crow here — I’ve been toting Chris Ivory as the guy to own behind Leonard Fournette for weeks now, and yet it seems Yeldon has now snatched that role out of thin air.

Yeldon finished last week’s game with three carries for 11 yards and six catches on eight targets for 39 yards. Not anything to blow you away, but quality change-of-pace work doesn’t always make you say “wow.”

The 6-3 Jaguars have actually blown quite a few teams out this year, in large part to their overwhelming defense. Like with a lot of guys on this sleeper list, Yeldon probably won’t see a ton of work unless the Jags go up big. But, much like with other top running backs, the Jags could look to rest Fournette down the stretch of blowout wins to end the season in an effort to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

And make no mistake — against the Browns this week, the Jags will probably be on the positive end of another blowout. With turnover-prone rookie DeShone Kizer starting for the Browns against the deadly Jaguars secondary, Jacksonville could be looking to run clock early and often on Sunday.

(Side note: if the Jags D is somehow available in your league, DEFINITELY GRAB THEM THIS WEEK.)
