2. Minnesota beats Wisconsin

The final chance for the Big Ten is the Wisconsin Badgers. The undefeated Badgers are right on the outside looking in with an undefeated record. However, they won’t be afforded the signature win they want this year because the top teams took each other out.

That being said, if they go undefeated and win the conference, they’ll be hard to pass up. If they lose one game, then the overall weakness of the resume of the conference is going to eliminate them altogether.

There are no guarantees in these last two games well for Wisconsin. Their first test is going to be against Minnesota, and P.J. Fleck would love nothing more than for his Golden Gophers to pull off the upset here.

If they do lose this week to Minnesota, that’s the end of the Big Ten and the playoff committee loses one of their safety nets on the outside. The playoff committee needs those safety nets in the event one of the top four falls.

With that ACC dynamite ready to blow at any second potentially, they need Wisconsin to stay undefeated. If that dynamite blows and there’s no Wisconsin waiting in the wings, then chaos has already won.
