1. West Virginia beats Oklahoma

And if chaos really just wants to blow the lid off the place here, Oklahoma falling this weekend would be the final farewell for the Big 12 as well. This conference trinity of chaos is a thing that could certainly take place.

Everything is riding on the ACC, Big Ten and Big 12 to hold on and just win out. The truth of the matter is that likely one of them is going to fall and two others are going to need to hold up to provide a replacement.

We know that there are no guarantees in college football and the Sooners can’t take West Virginia lightly at all. This is their chance to make a run at getting back into the College Football Playoff and they’ll have a Heisman favorite too.

If they fall, their conference is done and a two-loss team is likely finding their way into the fold and giving the committee a terrible headache. There’s no room right now for Oklahoma to lose and this perhaps could have a greater impact than an ACC collapse.

Chaos is a ladder and this week has the potential for everything to fall apart and shatter into oblivion. It’s part of the reason that there isn’t a more compelling sport to watch right now than college football.
