2018 NFL Mock Draft: Cleveland Browns select Josh Rosen No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The New York Giants have been one of the worst teams in football this season, and that has really been a shock. Coming into the season, many believed they would challenge in the NFC, especially after making the playoffs for the first time in five seasons last year. They have struggled mightily on both sides of the ball, and many fans are wondering if it is time to make a change at the quarterback position for the first time in 13 years.
The losses have not all been Eli Manning’s fault, as he lost all of his weapons at wide receiver, and his offensive line has been bad. However, he is getting up there in age, and it may be time for the team to start thinking about the future. Being this bad is rare for the franchise, and they may not get to pick this high in a long time, unless they make a trade for a top pick.
With their first round pick in April, especially if they are in the top-three, they should look to bring in a quarterback. Sam Darnold is rated as a high as No. 1 on many boards, but if the Browns go Josh Rosen at No. 1, he should be available at No. 3. He has all the talent to be a star at the next level, and if he can cut down on his turnovers, he could be a special one before all is said and done.
