Josh Allen

Quarterback, Wyoming

The Arizona Cardinals have had a rough go this season, as they not only lost their quarterback to injury, but also their star running back. David Johnson is arguably the best running back in the NFC, but a dislocated wrist ended his season in Week 1. He just recently had his cast removed, and may be able to return, but the Cardinals may be out of the playoff picture by the time he is ready to come off injured reserve.

For the Cardinals, they are likely to lose Carson Palmer to retirement, although his biggest weapon did say he was coming back for one more year. Larry Fitzgerald stated he is going to sign a one-year extension, which means he will be back for the 2018 season. With their first pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cardinals should look to bring in a new quarterback, and Josh Allen should be available at No. 9.

Allen has the body to be an NFL play, and definitely has the arm strength to make all the  throws. He has not had very good statistics during his time with Wyoming, but that is mostly due to the fact that he does not have many weapons. The Cardinals need their next franchise quarterback, and if Allen is as good as the scouts say he is, he should be in for a long career in the NFL once he gets with the right organization.
