NFL Draft 2018: Top 32 draft prospects entering Week 13
It was a warmup week for Alabama against Mercer. As they typically do, the Crimson Tide faced a small program late in the year as they prepare for the tough stretch that they are about to embark on.
Evans would finish the afternoon with three tackles in a shutout win by the Crimson Tide. A lot of people were able to get on the field and get work in during the blowout win at home in front of their fans.
Now, the first big test is on hand. They are facing an Auburn program in the always competitive Iron Bowl. Everyone knows that this isn’t going to be an easy game and the winner will become probably National Championship favorites.
This is a game where every great talent is going to have to step up and make plays. That means Evans is once again going to have to be that top linebacker prospect that makes plays if they’re going to get the victory.
It hasn’t been the year that Tarvarus McFadden or his teammates have wanted at Florida State. He has watched his draft stock fall as his play just hasn’t matched the talent that he has on the field.
There are many reasons as to why this could be the case, including just going through the motions, but he finally had himself a big moment this past week. With Florida State having an easy home opponent in Delaware State, McFadden had a first.
He found the end zone for the first time in his career with the Seminoles. He returned a blocked field goal 63 yards for the touchdown and some good vibes as he tries to finish the year strong and show everyone why he’s still a top corner.
In his defense, his physical skills and talent level will have a team take a chance on him. It could be just chalked up to a tough year for a defense that has had to overcome their offense suffering a big loss.
Now, McFadden has a touchdown to his name and hopefully a little momentum. With Florida up next, this is a great chance for him to go out and prove that he is still one of the best in college football.
