Kendall Joseph

LB, Clemson

With the biggest games of the season coming up for Clemson, Kendall Joseph should be out on the field hopefully soon. After suffering a leg injury a couple of games ago, the program has held Joseph out until he’s healthy enough to take the field.

The good news is that should be anytime now and they’re going to need their star linebacker. With a finale against South Carolina and then the ACC Championship game against Miami, these are must wins for the program.

Joseph’s been their tackling machine and go-to guy for wrapping up the ball carrier all season long. If the Tigers are going to make their return to the College Football Playoff, then these are the games that they are going to have to win first and foremost.

Right now, health is the most important thing and Joseph’s draft stock will be just fine. He’s going to be one of those players that will have at least three and perhaps more games to put up some fresh tape.

Da'Ron Payne

DL, Alabama

The Alabama Crimson Tide have a huge test ahead of them in the Iron Bowl this week. They have a chance to pick up their 12th win of the season and earn a spot in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia.

If they win this week, then they can focus on defeating Georgia and then earning their spot in the College Football Playoff. Of course, the strength of the Tide is their defense and that starts up front in the trenches.

Da’Ron Payne is a large body that occupies space and can help force the play to where he wants it to go. He can move surprisingly well for his size and against Mercer, he had two tackles on the afternoon in the win.

It was the annual November warmup game for the Crimson Tide before they begin their most brutal stretch of the year. The road to another National Championship starts now and Payne has a chance to really make a name for himself.
