Christian Wilkins

DL, Clemson

One of the great teammates in college football finished the afternoon against The Citadel with one tackle. To be fair in such an epic blowout at home, Clemson was going to get their top guys plenty of rest and get others snaps on the field.

Wilkins has been long recognized for his athletic talents given his size and he commands plenty of attention inside. His energy in the trenches allows those around him to make plays and it was on display in a recent performance against Florida State when he finished with seven tackles and a sack.

The Tigers will have a big test before they face Miami in the ACC Championship Game next week. They finish the regular season out this week with their annual tilt against the South Carolina Gamecocks.

South Carolina doesn’t exactly have one of the most dynamic offenses in the country. They come into this game with one of the more poor running attacks, which means Wilkins and Clemson should be primed for a big day.

Derrick Nnadi

DL, Florida State

Derrick Nnadi has some big performances and then he has weeks where his performance dips a bit. That being said, he’s still one of the best defensive line prospects in this draft class and seems like a real boom or bust talent.

He has the mean streak and the ability to make plays but then there are games where it seems like he’s silent out on the field. That can happen quite a bit from the position he plays and this past week he was fairly quiet against Deleware State but for good reason.

He wasn’t a stats junkie this week but he also was part of a defense that put down the ultimate beating against Delaware State. Nnadi and company were able to get a little more rest as others got into the action in a blowout.

The man has proven he’s an anchor and he’s battled hard each week in a down season even if it doesn’t always pay off with big numbers. With plenty of great prospects at the position, he’ll have to have a strong draft season as well.
