Hot Seat Watch, Week 13: 5 coaches who need to win
Bret Bielema
The hottest seat in college football belongs to Bret Bielema. Once Butch Jones was let go, Bielema had all eyes planted firmly on him. He continues to rack up loss after loss in the conference each season.
Arkansas isn’t going to a bowl game this year, and Bielema has inspired confidence in absolutely no one that he’s going to turn this thing around. For the sake of the program, the fans should be hoping the switch is made soon.
He hasn’t had a short tenure either. Bielema has had his moments, but they’ve been far and few between. The buyout shouldn’t be enough to save him here, as the change has to be made simply to save the program.

The longer this gets drawn out, the longer it will take to eventually make them competitive in the SEC again. Playing in the SEC West can feel like a death sentence for any program, but everyone has to face the same schedule within the division.
Arkansas should be the big shoe to drop here soon, and when that happens, all eyes will be on who the Razorbacks bring in. Defeating Missouri likely isn’t going to help Bielema’s case for keeping his job.
