Bradley Chubb

Edge, N.C. State

The Chicago Bears were absolutely embarrassed on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles this past weekend, as former Bears star Alshon Jeffery got his revenge. Last year, the Bears traded up to select Mitchell Trubisky No. 2 overall, and while he is likely going to be a good one, he is struggling in his rookie season. The Bears are not going to move on from him, and with their first pick in 2018, they should look to bolster their defensive front.

Aside from their 31-3 loss last weekend, the Bears defense has played well at times in 2017, especially at home. If they are picking in the top-10 in 2018, which is likely, they should bring in a player like Bradley Chubb from North Carolina State. Chubb is an explosive edge rusher, and in the NFC North, you need to be able to get after the quarterback.

Chicago plays the likes of Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers twice per season, so they need to be able to get some pressure up front on the defensive side of the ball. Chubb is as NFL-ready as any pass rusher in this draft class, and plays with the intensity that is expected from Bears fans. Chicago is going to be good once Trubisky gets a bunch of starts under his belt, and they have some solid weapons returning from injury in the passing game next season.
