Mason Rudolph

Quarterback, Oklahoma State

Incredibly, the New York Jets actually looked like a playoff contender a couple of weeks back. Heading into their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Jets could have gone into their bye week at .500, but that obviously did not happen. The Jets lost that game, and every game since, and now find themselves really out of the playoff picture with a 4-7 record through their first 11 games.

Prior to the season, many believed the team was going to tank, as they got rid of most of their veteran talent. However, Josh McCown has keep this team in nearly every game, and because of their four wins, they are not picking in the top-5. That means they are not going to get Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen, and will have to settle for a quarterback who just may wind up being the best of the bunch.

During his time at Oklahoma State, Mason Rudolph has turned the program around, and has played his way into the conversation of elite NFL prospect. He has teamed with James Washington to give the Cowboys one of the more explosive offenses in the Big 12, and would be a perfect fit in New York. He has the mental strength to take on the pressure in New York, and could wind up being the first franchise quarterback the Jets have had since Chad Pennington.
