Everton face West Ham at Goodison Park on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Everton and West Ham are both in a battle for survival as the calendar nears the end of November. The Toffees are 16th, with 12 points after losing 4-1 to Southampton. West Ham settled for a 1-1 draw with Leicester in their last game but are 18th in the league table with 10 points.
Not a lot has gone right for Everton after they spent big in the summer. Offensively, the club has struggled to find the back of the net. Defensively, the club has allowed the most goals in the Premier League, including eight in their last three games. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored his first goal for Everton in the loss against Southampton. Everton hope that goal will kick-start Sigurdsson’s season after he was excellent last year for Swansea.
West Ham have only picked up three points in their last six games. With the Hammers near the bottom of the table, the club decided to change managers, hiring David Moyes. However, the former Everton manager has picked up only one point in his first two games in charge. Moyes faces an uphill battle and will have to improve a West Ham defense that has allowed the second most goals in the Premier League. Offensively, the Hammers have scored only 12 goals but will be without top scorer Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez who is still out with a hamstring injury. In his place, Moyes will likely start Andy Carroll, who is still looking for his first goal of the season.
