NFL Draft 2018: Top 32 draft prospects entering Championship Weekend
Arden Key is finishing his season a lot like he started it. After missing the first two games to begin the season this year, Key also missed the last two as well. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be anything major as it his pinky finger.
Little injuries like that won’t give NFL teams the same concerns as say a major leg injury would. Instead, Key finishes his regular season with four total sacks in a year where he and Harold Landry are competing for the top EDGE spot overall.
It took him a while to adjust to this season and to finally get into playing shape. Then when he was finally rounding into form and playing his best football of the season, he wound up missing time once again.
Hopefully, Key will be able to take the field in the bowl game the Tigers end up going to. After that, he’ll have the entire draft season to prove why he should be the very first EDGE that ends up coming off the board.
It was a quiet day for Calvin Ridley and the Alabama wide receivers in the Iron Bowl. Auburn did a good job of bottling them up and Jalen Hurts struggled to get his guys the ball in the first loss of the season for the program.
Remarkably, Ridley still managed to lead the team in receptions and yards with three for 38 on the day. He didn’t find the end zone, which the Crimson Tide could have sorely used in a game that was a struggle.
Ridley’s got the superstar traits for the next level and in a system that passes the ball frequently, he’ll be able to put it all on display. He has the hands, footwork and just about everything a great wide receiver needs.
With a team that runs the ball first, his skills can get lost in the shuffle. Still, he’s done enough throughout his career to prove that he’s the real deal and he might just get to make one more playoff run.
