Sit: Dez Bryant, WR – Dallas Cowboys

There’s really no getting around it at this point: Dez Bryant has been a massive disappointment so far this season. He’s outside of the top 25 in both standard and PPR formats and that’s a far cry from what owners were hoping for when they drafted Bryant with a high pick. It seems impossible for a receiver with his talent but he hasn’t eclipsed 100 yards receiving in a game for 17 straight games. There seems to be a lack of chemistry with he and quarterback Dak Prescott.

There are major issues facing Byrant this week. He will have to face Pro Bowl level cornerback Josh Norman for the majority of his routes. When you’re already struggling, Norman isn’t a player you want to have to deal with. It’s also not helping that the Dallas offense has totally bottomed out without running back Ezekiel Elliott.

While Zeke is incredibly talented, it’s very surprising to see the offense play this poorly without him. There was a train of thought about left tackle Tyron Smith being the piece that was missed the most. However, even that went up in smoke on Thanksgiving. The offense managed a measly one touchdown even when Smith came back. This offense is facing a crisis and until they can prove they are past it, Bryant deserves to be on the bench.
