Carolina Panthers: More momentum to be a wild card front-runner

Keep pounding, Carolina Panthers! You already have more wins than you did last year (six) and almost half as many as you did that second time you went to the Super Bowl (15). Though those pesky New Orleans Saints don’t seem to want to lose either, I’m giving you more momentum.

It’s the sugar rush this team loves and frankly needs. Momentum is the lifeblood that makes Cam Newton one of the best players in football when he’s at his best. When he’s running and dabbing and slinging 40-yard bombs on opposing defenses, opponents just aren’t beating the Panthers.

Though I can’t give you the NFC South to win, you will have to earn that, I will give you all the momentum in the world to be the best wild card team the NFC South has ever seen. You will be the most ferocious wild card team since the 2010 Green Bay Packers and that team won a Super Bowl.

If anybody tries to take that No. 5 seed from you, Carolina has the right to stop them in their tracks. You can be as good as one win worse than the Saints the rest of the way. Let’s hope the Saints keep winning because that means the Panthers will keep winning. But what about that time they have play each other in a few weeks? Ah, we’ll figure it out. Momentum.
