Here’s how the College Football top four currently stands after the Georgia Bulldogs took down the Auburn Tigers to clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.

With the Big 12 and SEC Championship Games in the rearview mirror, half of the College Football Playoff is set ahead of tomorrow’s selection show.

Oklahoma locked up its spot in the national semifinals with a 41-14 beatdown of TCU to improve its record to 12-1, as two victories over the Horned Frogs plus a road win at Ohio State is more than enough. Baker Mayfield likely also clinched the Heisman Trophy with four touchdown passes, and the Sooners’ offense has looked unstoppable since losing to Iowa State on Oct. 7.

Georgia also is headed to the College Football Playoff after getting revenge against Auburn with a 28-7 win in the SEC Championship Game, as the Bulldogs’ defense looked much better after being shredded in the blowout loss three weeks ago. There’s no way the committee will keep a one-loss SEC champion out, so expect the Bulldogs to jump up to No. 4.

The other two spots and the exact order of the top four will depend on the Big Ten and ACC Championship games later tonight. Here’s the projected top four after the SEC Championship Game, which is subject to change in a few hours.

1. Clemson Tigers

2. Oklahoma Sooners

3. Wisconsin Badgers

4. Georgia Bulldogs

Oklahoma’s blowout win probably won’t be enough to jump Clemson assuming a Tigers victory, unless the ACC Championship Game is truly ugly. The big question is where exactly the committee would place Wisconsin if the Badgers complete an undefeated campaign by beating Ohio State, as their schedule would be validated and they could very well jump all the way to No. 1.

If Ohio State manages to top Wisconsin, the committee will have quite a decision to make at No. 4 between the Big Ten champion Buckeyes and one-loss Alabama.
